The end of the year is SO close! With that, come several crazy days that your normal schedule is thrown out the window in order to work in this or that. I wanted to share one of my FAVORITE things to do at the end of the year-use CHALK PAINT in the classroom!
I LOVE chalk paint. For the past two years we have done it at the end of the year. It’s easy to make, fun for the kids, washes out of clothes, and easy to clean up! I thought I’d share that with you today!
Chalk paint in the classroom is easy to make! You only need a few ingredients and limited supplies!
As you are making it, it will look milky! Once it does, this is when you add food coloring. This is also a great solo mixing lesson that I’m sure the art teacher will cheer for!
Our finished product looked like this. While it doesn’t look like much, it did last. I made multiple cups of each color. Making sure the chalk paint didn’t fill the cup helped prevent them from easily getting knocked over and loosing all of one color.
