RTI: Phonemic Awareness

I don’t know about you all, but RTI is definitely in full motion! I know my kids enough to begin the Response to Intervention process.  If you know it well, you are definitely aware that it is a PRO-CESS!

I share a curtain this year with a wonderful 3rd year teacher who is new to first grade.  There are times that she feels like she is drowning and my heart breaks for her.  This was inspired by my sweet friend Bethany.  The goal of this little kit is to make the process MUCH easier to track and record data. I can’t wait to start using it tomorrow and I hope that many of you are able to use this to help ease the process of RTI for your little friends!

This little RTI intervention kit is made for first grade, but can be used with high kinder kids or with struggling second grade kids, too.

There are 9 different areas that are covered under the umbrella of phonemic awareness.

Within each area, there are 3 activities and an assessment.

There also are data recording sheets for each area addressed.

You can check it out in my little TpT store. I really hope that you find it helpful!!

If you are looking for more reading activities to do with your little learners, be sure to follow my Reading for K-2 pinterest board!
